F34 BMW 3 Series GT to launch at 2013 Geneva Motor Show, production in June

We just learned that the F34 BMW 3 Series GT will make its official debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Held in March, the Swiss auto show will host a series of BMW , MINI and Rolls Royce debuts.
Production of the F34 3 GT will commence in June of next year and the Gran Turismo version of the popular BMW model will make its way onto U.S. soil as well. The 3 Series GT is said to be a smaller, lighter and more dynamic vehicle than its older and bigger brother, the 5 GT. The elegant F34 will offer more driving comfort than the sedan, along with increased space for rear-passengers and their luggage.
Just like the sedan and touring models, the BMW 3 Series GT gives the possibility to adapt the car to the owners’ preferences by offering the Sport, Modern and Luxury Lines.  An M Sport package would  come later to enhance the sportiness of the car.
The engine options are inherited from the 3 Series Sedan, with a 335i GT top model and 318d as the entry level. All will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Since the coupe and convertible variants of the 3 Series (4 Series) are yet to launch, the 3 GT will be the most expensive offering in the 3 Series lineup. The base price will start at 36,000 euros with the surcharge between the touring and GT being less than the difference between the sedan and the touring.
